Utilizing design strategies, we strive to craft spaces that support diversity and equity in community development. Grounded in research-driven analysis, our goal is to enhance social and cultural capital, addressing practical needs while nurturing community growth. By fostering a sense of belonging, empowerment, and cultural richness, our projects aim to elevate the overall community experience. Through our work, we aspire to inspire the construction and real estate industry to not only embrace but also elevate and celebrate cultural diversity at every opportunity.

Design Strategies

  • Multifamily.

For multifamily projects, our objective is to align the client's investment strategy with the unique cultural characteristics of the target population. We achieve this by developing a tailored set of environmental recommendations to be integrated into the project. These recommendations are designed to enhance social and cultural capital, enabling residents to embrace diversity as a means of strengthening their cultural identity and fostering social engagement. By incorporating these considerations, we create environments that not only meet the practical needs of residents but also enrich their sense of belonging within the community.

  • Multigenerational.

Drawing from our shared cultural roots and deep understanding of the Latino community, we recognize the centrality of family in our lives. Our design strategies are specifically tailored to address these familial values, aiming to foster social connections among users of different generations. We prioritize equity, safety, and security, particularly for the elderly members of our community. By aligning our approach with these family-centric concerns, we create spaces that promote inclusivity, intergenerational interaction, and a sense of belonging for all residents.

  • Mixed-Use.

We understand the profound motivations that drive underserved communities to migrate to the United States, including the pursuit of mobility, employment opportunities, and overcoming language barriers. Mixed-use communities serve as a solution by enabling residents to meet their work needs, fostering social participation, and promoting civic engagement. These communities also create micro self-sufficient environments that benefit from sustainable practices, allowing Latino and other underserved communities to flourish. By addressing these fundamental needs and providing supportive environments, mixed-use communities empower residents to thrive and contribute positively to their surroundings.
